uPVC & Composite · Birmingham
uPVC door locksmith in Birmingham
Most Birmingham front doors are uPVC or composite with a euro cylinder in a multipoint strip. Cornel changes those cylinders and upgrades them to British-Standard anti-snap locks, on the existing door, in a single visit.

What usually fails on a uPVC door
- The key will not turn, or only turns one way. Often the cylinder. A lock change on the existing strip is the usual fix.
- The handle lifts but nothing happens. That can be the cylinder, the gearbox, or the strip going out of alignment. Cornel looks first and quotes before he starts. If the gearbox itself has failed, he tells you that honestly rather than selling you a cylinder you do not need.
- You are locked out with the keys inside. Non-destructive entry first. Emergency locksmith Birmingham →
- The key has snapped in the cylinder. Broken key extraction →
Lock change, not a new door
A tired cylinder does not mean a new uPVC door. Cornel supplies and fits lock changes and anti-snap TS007 3-star cylinders on the door you already have — uPVC, composite, and the same job on wooden and aluminium where that is the door in front of him.
Send a photo of the door edge (where the latch and hooks sit) and the face of the cylinder. That is usually enough to identify the part before he sets off.
